About

Hi, I'm Dantley.

I didn’t become a therapist because I believe people need someone to “fix” them. I became a therapist because I know how hard life can be when you try to go it alone. Life gets easier to manage when someone walks alongside you and helps you make sense of the challenges that will inevitably arise. Therapy can be effective without feeling overly clinical or uncomfortable, so we'll talk about the difficult lows, laugh at the joyful highs, sit with what hurts, and be honest about the issues that you may have avoided saying anywhere else. My approach is shaped by a genuine curiosity about people. How our relationships, experiences, identities, and the stories we’ve come to believe about ourselves create a narrative that no longer serves our well-being. I’m especially interested in the moments when life doesn’t turn out the way we imagined it would. Sometimes the story we planned changes, and the work becomes figuring out what we want the next chapter to look like. I work with individuals, couples, and families dealing with relationships, life transitions, grief, identity, communication, substance use, and the pressure to have everything figured out. You don’t have to come to therapy knowing exactly what you need or having the perfect words to explain what’s going on. We can figure that out together.
